A very warm welcome to Fortis Academy
It is a great honour for me to be able to play a part in the history of Fortis Academy on its journey to being an outstanding academy the community can be proud of. I pride myself in bringing with me a relentless belief that ‘everyone has the right to be the best version of themselves’ and that we all have the responsibility to make this happen.
Our core purpose is centred on all our children, regardless of ability, to achieve to the best of their ability. We have very high expectations of our children and put great emphasis on instilling mutual respect throughout their academic journey and beyond. In return our students enrich the academy with a dynamic range of personalities who each bring skills, talents and experience that enrich the diversity of our community.
At Fortis Academy, we deliver an enriched curriculum through high-quality teaching where safeguarding is a priority. We see each child as an individual and firmly believe supporting them in their wellbeing is just as important as supporting them academically to help them reach their full potential. Our academy ethos is based the simple belief that everyone is able to keep up. We work all of our academy strategies including attendance; key knowledge retrieval; intervention sessions and our literacy strategy around ensuring no one is left behind.
