Mr Alberto Otero – Campus Principal
Mr A Williams – Campus Vice Principal and Headteacher Foundation Academy
Mr Williams joined the Academy in 2004 as a Newly Qualified Science Teacher having already had a very successful career in the Financial Services sector. He has previously held the post of Assistant Head Teacher (KS3).
Mr C Czepukojć – Headteacher Senior Academy
Mr Czepukojć joined Fortis Academy at Easter 2020 from a large 11-18 secondary school in Solihull where he was Deputy Headteacher. Prior to this, his career to date has included Assistant Headteacher positions in 11-18 schools in Birmingham and Wolverhampton following successful Middle Leadership positions as Head of History in a variety of 11-18 secondary schools in Birmingham and Warwickshire.

Mrs J Finlay – Foundation Academy
Mrs Finlay joined the Academy in 1994 as a Newly Qualified PE and Dance Teacher. She very quickly developed her career through the pastoral teams and led the former Ludlow House for many years. Prior to her promotion to the Leadership Team, she was our Head of Inclusion and SENCO.
Mrs J Garvey – Senior Academy
Mrs Garvey joined the Academy in 2012 as an Advanced Skills Teacher in Science, having previously worked in a variety of settings as an Advanced Skills Teacher as well as a Specialist Leader in Education. She has also been a Lead Practitioner for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. Since joining the Academy she became a Progress Leader for Brunel Mini School before becoming Director of Sixth Form.
Assistant Head Teachers – Foundation Academy
Mrs M Hunt – Curriculum
Mrs Hunt joined the Academy community in 2001 and has since worked passionately within a number of roles. Her first love being that of a Drama Teacher and her biggest achievement to date being able to establish our hugely successful Performing Arts Faculty. Mrs Hunt is now looking forward to the challenge of shaping the curriculum for future generations of Fortis Academy Students.
Mrs J Lawton – English
Miss E Painter – Attendance
Miss Painter joined the Academy in 2006 as a Newly Qualified PE Teacher. She also developed her career through the pastoral teams and led the former Dudley House for many years. When we changed to a mini-school structure, Miss Painter became Progress Leader for Franklin School.
Mr C Randle – Behaviour
Mr Randle joined the Academy in 2005 as a Newly Qualified PE Teacher. He quickly achieved promotion to Second in Department in PE and from there to Deputy Head of House and then Head of House for the former Warwick House. Moving into his first whole school role, Mr Randle became Head of Inclusion and from there, he became the Academy’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
Assistant Head Teachers – Senior Academy
Mr L Barker – Teaching and Learning
Mr Barker joined the Academy in 2007 as a Newly Qualified English Teacher and was very quickly promoted through the department as KS3 Coordinator, Advanced Skills Teacher, Director of English and then more recently as Assistant Head Teacher for KS4. He has previously also led on Academy Literacy and Able Learner Strategies.
Mrs J Bashford – Science
Mr S McAusland – Mathematics
