Our Curriculum provides students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences to develop their character and resilience. Our curriculum enables our students to realise their varied and ambitious aspirations.
Our curriculum ensures that we are ‘Enriching Lives’ for all our students throughout their journey from Year 7 to adults who contribute positively within our rich and diverse society.
In our Foundation academy we believe that the right curriculum opportunities will build a firm foundation for continued success for all our students. It is vital that students engage with their learning and that they are excited by the opportunities to enquire and explore across a wide range of subjects, developing a lifelong love of learning.
In Years 7, 8 and 9 in Foundation Academy, every student begins their day with rollcall. Then with their Edge Tutor in Edge form. During this taught session students develop their understanding of what it means to be a British citizen, they develop their individual character and explore how to build resilience. Aspirations are developed through careers education. Personal, social, moral, and health education including Relationships (RSE) are taught.
